Sri Lanka Indoor Cricket Announces Junior Squad for World Series in South Africa
Sri Lanka Indoor Cricket has announced its Junior squad for the 2026 Indoor Cricket Junior World Series, set to take place in South Africa from 26 September to 3 October 2026. The tournament will be held at Atterbury, where the next generation of Sri Lankan indoor cricketers will take on the international stage.
The selected squad has been built through a dedicated preparation and selection process conducted in Colombo. Sri Lanka Indoor Cricket commenced a training camp in Colombo, bringing together a group of promising junior players as part of the preparation programme for the upcoming world event.
Following the training camp and selection process, 12 players have been named in the Sri Lanka Juniors squad, with Sandil Hirunaka Bandara appointed as captain and Sithumina Chamathke Hendeniya named vice-captain.
