Sri Lanka Juniors Set for 12-Game World Series Battle

Sri Lanka’s junior indoor cricket side will begin its Junior World Series 2026 campaign on 26 September, with the young squad set for a demanding 12-match league programme at UPRO Action Sports, Atterbury, South Africa.

The tournament will see Sri Lanka compete against six opponents South Africa, Singapore, New Zealand, England, Australia and South Africa - A in a double round-robin format, with each team facing every opponent twice during the league stage.

Sri Lanka’s campaign opens against South Africa on 26 September before the side takes on Singapore later the same day. The schedule continues over the following week, with the Sri Lankan juniors facing each of their six opponents for a second time before the completion of the league stage.

The format will provide a significant test for the Sri Lankan squad, requiring consistency across 12 matches while adapting to different playing styles and opposition throughout the competition.

With Australia, England, New Zealand and South Africa among the teams in the field, Sri Lanka will face a strong international challenge as the next generation of indoor cricketers look to make their mark on the Junior World Series stage.

The league campaign runs through 2 October, with the tournament taking place at UPRO Action Sports in Atterbury. Sri Lankan supporters will also be able to follow the campaign using the Sri Lankan local times included alongside the South African start times in the team’s match schedule.

For Sri Lanka’s young players, the Junior World Series represents an opportunity to gain international experience, test themselves against leading junior sides and compete on one of the sport’s biggest youth stages.
